Until very recently it has been impossible to repair a caravan or motorhome shower tray in situ. Previously, the entire tray had to be removed to be repaired or replaced and this was a very expensive and time-consuming job. Also, many vehicles have custom-made bathroom installations and it may actually be impossible to get a replacement moulding from the original manufacturer.
The Solution:
The Caravan Doc can now offer a full repair service using the Speedcoat shower tray repair system. If you have a cracked or damaged shower installation we can provide a superb service which will save you a great deal of money and time. As we are a mobile service, we will come to you and perform the work wherever your caravan or vehicle is located.
How it Works:
We repair any cracks, splits or dents using a dual-component product which has been specifically designed for this purpose. We then sand and smooth the area before applying a coat of Speedliner polymer over the entire shower tray surface.
This application creates a seamless, totally waterproof coating and is impervious to normal household cleaning chemicals and detergents. The Speedcoat shower tray application also provides an anti-bacterial finish as well as a textured, anti-slip surface. In addition, your Speedcoat repair is able to be applied in a choice of 19 colours and will blend seamlessly into your existing bathroom.
Once completed, your new shower tray surface will not crack, warp or have any detrimental effect on the existing tray moulding below it and will be ready for use within around 36 hours. As a guide the price is normally under half the price of a replacement shower tray. = ( labour and materials).
